Bible Blocks Family Experience
A simple no prep family rhythm
Read a story together, invite your child to retell it, then choose one more activity to explore it in a different way.
Choose your story
Grab its Story Block and the Activity Block. This walkthrough uses Jesus Calms the Storm, found in Mark 4:35–41.
Read and turn
Read the Bible passage or the Parent Guide’s short retelling. Turn the block to show each picture as that moment unfolds. The six pictures shown are the six sides of one block.
Retelling comes every time
Retelling is the core of every session. Let your child use the pictures to tell the story in their own words. Offer a prompt or a little help whenever needed.
Choose what fits today
After retelling, choose one additional activity. The Parent Guide offers Quick Start and Deep Dive suggestions for every activity, so you can follow your child’s interest and attention.
Act Out: Quick Start
Point to one picture on the Story Block and invite your child to act out that moment. A pose, expression, or movement is enough to begin.
Act Out: Deep Dive
Let a child or another family member direct. They choose roles and guide everyone as the whole family acts out the story together.
Explore another way
On another day, draw or write, explore a character’s perspective, connect Bible stories, wonder, pray, sing, or find the passage. Choose one activity—not a whole checklist.
Return through the week
Come back to the same story, retell it again, and try another activity—or repeat a favorite. Follow your child’s curiosity without rushing through every option.
